For instance, to develop a sunscreen with high SPF value, it can probably take up to five years and a complete team of scientists. A few will work on synthesizing the active molecule, while some on the formulation and a few on the safety standards and efficiency levels. Besides creating pioneering products, the cosmetic industry also makes use of science to challenge broader issues, like as the environmental influence of creating products.
